About Thunderdome
Entering its 12th year of existence, ThunderDome can now boast of being one of the longest running MUDs in the history of the internet. In those years, ThunderDome has done much to advance the quality of game play, while adding much to the notions of what a diku-style mud should be. Tdome offers a dark, and at times, humorous perspective on a futuristic world set sometime after the earth's destruction. Human society, formed mostly of roughly governed gangs, must now contend with aliens and mutated beasts for control of tdome's 13k rooms. Toward that end, players can choose between 13 different classes, and are allowed to log 3 of these characters on at once.
Guns (dozens are offered) and magic vie for superiority in the tdome world, while biological implants and learned skills offer additional methods by which a character might improve his lot in a life filled to the brim with danger and adventure. Inexperienced players soon learn that the inherent danger can be tempered by joining one of tdome's many gangs which offer a variety of advantages. Sanctioned gangs have their own bunkers from which to operate, and which offer cut rate rent costs and equipment repair.
If you are the sort that enjoys walking on the wild side, come seek the challenge of survival in a world gone mad. There should be plenty of room to accommodate you...Hell ain't half full yet.

What is ThunderDome: Rise of the Freejacks? It's what I consider to be the most addictive game I have ever played. In truth, it is much more than a game. It's a life. It offers a wide range of themes and centers around one point...to have fun. I'm currently running around as a Cyborg of the LostBoys gang. Slashing through most enemies with my combat disc, but when the going gets tough I wield the M41-A Pulse Rifle and go to town. What I enjoy is the different classes that I have been over the years. So far I have been a barbarian, assassin, infiltrator, fanatic, mutant, samuria, and now of course a borg ;)
Tdome is not an easy mud. It is in fact a hard one; however, if you stay the course and keep at it you will enjoy ruling over something that can kill you in an instant. And if you see me online, feel free to ask me for help. I think you will enjoy the well made areas, the player vs player fights in the dome, and the MANY Imm run quests that are all a part of Tdome.

ThunderDome, Tdome for short, is a neo-post-apocoliptic world where mutants run wild, pirates are pillaging villages and the super-implanted are world leaders. With 11 current and soon to be 12 classes to chose from, from Assassin to Survivalist, there is no shortage of action. I have played 9 of these classes repeatedly over the last 8 years. The Dark One and his minions have created a wonderful environment to take you out of this world and smack dab in the middle of your worst nightmare. Offers playabilty from the noob to the well versed in MUDs. Drop in and Die with Us. Look me up,

I tried Tdome out for the first time in 1994, came back to it in 1996, and have been playing it since. To have someone play a game for that long and still have it remain interesting is an accomplishment.
Tdome is a cynical, gritty, post-apocalyptic environment filled with a wide range of people, some powerful, some not: all-around good guys that will aid you if they can, veterans of the game (they can either be extremely helpful or just psychopathic and homicidal), new guys (or new characters) for people to group with, and cunning evil freaks that keep everyone on their toes.
The Immortals (and the mobs!) are cast in the same mold. The areas and creatures may be utterly strange or weirdly familiar, depending on the area itself and on how many SciFi/Horror flicks (vintage and new) you happen to have seen. One of the bigger draws of the game are the Player vs. Player solo bouts, free-for-all brawls, and team match-ups that the Immortals occasionally run (seen by the whole Mud via the Broadcast channel).
Many, many tweaks have been made to the advantage of the players in the past year, so if it sounds interesting, crack a beverage, grab ‘chute and a broken pipe and hit the ground running- because things WILL be after you.
